Burns Night 2020
Burns Night
January 25 2020
Every year Boisdale restaurants celebrate Burns Night with all the pomp and pride it deserves and offer an impressive selection of menus featuring the greatest Caledonian fare in honour of Robert Burns, including amongst many other Scottish treats, Orkney salmon, Galloway pheasant, Aberdeenshire dry-aged beef fillet and the star of the show — Dumfriesshire Blackface haggis.
Burns Night — one of the strongest symbols of Scotland’s national identity – is celebrated worldwide on 25 January, and its ritual has remained unchanged for over 200 years. Boisdale has strong Scottish roots and over thirty years it has become London’s number one Burns Night destination not only for Scots but also curious nationals of other countries, therefore the festivities take place over several nights with a lot of piping and stabbing of the haggis. In 2020 Burns Night was celebrated in association with Annandale Distillery brought back to life in 2014 after 95 years in dormancy.
