Burns Night 2020

Every year Bois­dale restau­rants cel­e­brate Burns Night with all the pomp and pride it deserves and offer an impres­sive selec­tion of menus fea­tur­ing the great­est Cale­don­ian fare in hon­our of Robert Burns, includ­ing amongst many oth­er Scot­tish treats, Orkney salmon, Gal­loway pheas­ant, Aberdeen­shire dry-aged beef fil­let and the star of the show — Dum­friesshire Black­face haggis.

Burns Night — one of the strongest sym­bols of Scotland’s nation­al iden­ti­ty – is cel­e­brat­ed world­wide on 25 Jan­u­ary, and its rit­u­al has remained unchanged for over 200 years. Bois­dale has strong Scot­tish roots and over thir­ty years it has become London’s num­ber one Burns Night des­ti­na­tion not only for Scots but also curi­ous nation­als of oth­er coun­tries, there­fore the fes­tiv­i­ties take place over sev­er­al nights with a lot of pip­ing and stab­bing of the hag­gis. In 2020 Burns Night was cel­e­brat­ed in asso­ci­a­tion with Annan­dale Dis­tillery brought back to life in 2014 after 95 years in dormancy.
